Battlefield 2 is the sequel to the highly regarded first person shooter Battlefield 1942. Featuring an all new game engine with improved graphics the game play is relatively that same as you would expect from Battlefield 1942 but with obvious improvements.
Battlefield 2 multiplayer games generally take place in servers with anywhere from 16 to 64 players. Each player chooses a different infantry class and enters the game. Once in the game players get the chance to drive multiple vehicles including hummvees, armored personnel carriers, tanks, helicopters, jets and even boats.
Initially, Battlefield 2 multiplayer features 12 maps with versions for 16, 32 and up to 64 players. This is one of the greatest features to this epic first person shooter is that the battles are absolutely huge if you want them to be. While some maps are best played with 16 players, a 64 man battle royal will leave your heart racing and wanting more.
Players will choose from one of three factions: The United States, China or the Middle East Coalition. The game itself features detailed maps and environments ranging from urban assaults on city streets to duck and hide first person warfare in the woods. Players can choose to play in a squad or join the game solo and make their way through.
Players can gain experience as they play more and more games, starting from the lowest recruit rank all the way up the the General rank and they will unlock rewards, weapons, vehicle decals and medals.
